Learn. Play. Grow.
Kidsview Inc. is a non-profit organization that exists to assist students gain access and opportunity to enrichment that is foundational to many different paths of creative expression. In its' origin, the organization would match students with a variety of summer camps to provide scholarships. In the first year we worked with over forty different summer camps to assist students in Metro Louisville. We were founded in 2015 by a team of educators and have expanded over the last two years to offer instructional services to school districts and community organizations.
We are currently offering instruction in Visual Art, Dance, Theatre, Music, Martial Arts and Spoken word/Poetry. Our instructors are set apart from traditional classroom instruction as they teach their content in an upbeat way that keeps students engaged while having fun. Andrea Diggs is the Founder and current Executive Director. She takes pride in serving as a liaison between programmatic needs in the community and artists who can fulfill those needs. All of our instructors go through training under the direction of the Director. They have also been background checked and have experience working with students.
Andrea Diggs is a native of Madisonville, KY and a classically trained pianist from the age of four. She received her Bachelors of Music Education from Murray State University (Piano/Voice) a Masters
of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the
University of Louisville and her Administrative Leadership Certificate
from Western Kentucky University.
She has taught every grade level from preschool to seniors in College; worked with community and professional choirs, theatres, ensembles and production companies on many occasions. As an educator in the public school system for fourteen years and an administrator in the private sector, she believed in utilizing her resources and network to assist students have opportunity and access to the Arts.
There is a large gap that teachers step in every day to fill, and Kidsview has assisted in closing that gap in many neighborhoods. She founded Kidsview Inc. to share family-friendly activities and events happening throughout the Urban Louisville neighborhoods and match children with free weeks of summer camps. Since that time it has developed into a hub for visual and performing artists to provide instruction to students throughout the community. Each year, the need grows... but thankfully, so do the generous resources from the community. She is most thankful to her family who continue support this vision.
